FINNISH SNOWBOARD ASSOCIATION

HISTORY
In 1988, Finnish Snowboard Association (FSA) / Suomen Lumilautaliitto ry (SLL) was established and the first Finnish snowboarding championships were held. FSA is the world’s second oldest national snowboard association. In 1994, Ministry of Education approved FSA as a state aid legitimate national sport organization, and in 1998 FSA joined Finnish Sports and Exercise Federation.

MISSION
FSA’s mission is to be responsible for international competing of Finnish riders, to promote the sport and to organize competitions and training events in Finland.

FSA is a member of World Snowboarding Federation (WSF), and it has an authorization to represent snowboarding in FIS.
